I use a great product called Curls Up (I think it's made by a company called FX). It works similar to mousse to help control frizz, but it doesn't leave hair feeling crunchy or hard. I've been using it for a couple of years with no damage.

Well that texture is hard to maintain. You can ask your stylist for reccomendations if not?

Well you can always close the scissor blades and go for a shorter style. They are cute and easy.

Tips for maintaining curly hair?

-use LOTS of conditioner (I use tresemme shamp. and conditioner for dry hair).

-comb with a wide-tooth comb

-use tresemme curl care gel

-finish with garnier fructis spray gel for curls

-NEVER use blowdryer

There are so many different textures of curly hair that it is challenging to give direct advice to you without seeing it.

I love Infusium 23 Leave in Treatment because you can leave it in after you shampoo and just let it dry and it will put a layer of protection, and make your hair shiny.

If you have the kind of hair that you can blow dry, Infusium is great also because it will help you smooth out your hair and make it look shiny and smooth and frizz free. Great for high humidity days or any day.

You can find this product in drugstores and Walmart should have it too. Some beauty supplies carry it as well.

first of all don't use a straightener - some people will probably suggest this. I find that brushing my hair in the shower after conditioning it helps. I don't brush it after I get out - that's what causes a lot of poofy-ness for me.

Use a little bit of curl cream and plait your hair when slightly damp and leave it overnight. Lovely hair when you wake up!

I've found it's best NOT to use shampoo/conditioner for curly hair. I have curly hair and recently started using Pantene Smooth and Sleek and my hair looks better than it has in a long time.

Also Lumi-Oil by L'oreal is fabulous, the one for Normal/Dry hair.

Hi, You dont really damage your hair unless you are using heat sylers. If you hair feels dry and damaged then it might be your using the wrong shampoos and conditioner for your hair type.

I tried to go in to not using chemical products and switching to stuff like Lush products and natural products. The thing with these things are even thought there is no chemicals in them they are expensive as they use alternatives, but I dont thing they work as well as the normal stuff you usually us and I find my hair doesnt feel clean and soft, so I end up going back to my original products.

If you think your hair is getting damaged using shampoos and conditioners then get one for your hair type, Pantene do one for curly hair. Or use one for dry damaged hair as curly hair is naturally more dryer. The when its went apply a frizz control serum. Not Frizz Ease though use one called Supersoft its only 鎷?.99 and its brilliant and works well on wet hair and even better on dry.

But other than spending a fortune on products that are expensive because they are using alternative stuff in them that are generally expesive. You might just have to stick with what your doing

I have long, afro hair which i always hated. I like it now because i relax it-this is my solution. My hair is straight and thick now but if your a girl who loves her curls follow my steps.......

-Use a lot of conditioner suitable for afro//curly hair.

-Use a deep conditioning product. I like VO5's one. Or use 1 tsp olive//almond oil.

-PAT hair dry.

-Comb through with a wide toothed comb.

-Distribute hair cream evenly across hair. I use Dark and Lovely. (ONLY FOR AFRO HAIR)

-Leave to dry naturally.
