Tips for keeping relaxed hair healthy?
If your hair has been relaxed chemically, then the hairs have been stripped so that the shafts are now in the shape of a circle. Thus, they lay flat and straight. Now, if you hair has been stripped, it's probably not a very good idea to hurt that alreday vulnerable hair with heat or harsh chemicals. If you do need to apply heat to it with like a curling iron or flat iron, be sure that the washing before that you had conditioned it REALLY well. Make sure to keep a deep conditioner around to use 2-3 times a week. Try to avoid washing your hair every day, as this dries out the hair, try for every other day! And avoid dying your hair, as the chemicals will reek havoc on your vulnerable strands! And always remember to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. =]
Tips for keeping relaxed hair healthy?
Keep your hair well moisturized and make sure you wash and deep condition your hair with moisturizing products. Always have the ends of your hair trimmed this will prevent split ends. Just be gentle with your hair no harsh combing/brushing. Sleep with a silk/satin scarf or pillowcase. Other types of pillowcases causes friction and your hair to dry out.
