Its a disaster!
I want to curl my hair but it leaves a dry, ugly crease at the tips no matter which direction, angle etc. I curl it!
The curls also go out really fast. Like in about 5 mins or less.
Any help?
Everytime I try to curl my hair, it leaves a horrible crease at the tips?!?
Your just letting part of you hair on the curler. You're leaving some out. Pull your hair through the curler all the way to the very end, until you can't see any sticking out at the end. And as for you hair going out, try spraying hair spray on your hair before you curl it, then put some more on after. If you want a new hairstyle completely, try straightening it, or put gel in it when it's wet to get wavy hair. Or even pull it up in a ponytail...

Eek. That happens to me too. Whenever I curl my hair I have to have both the curler and straightner on, then the moment I release the curl I straighten the bottom to fix the crease. Then I spray on the hairspray like there's no tomorrow, lol
Probably not good advice, though. It takes a long time and I rarely have the patience to do it. I'll see if anyone else has some answers cuz I need the help too!!

Hi, I actually read these really good articles about tips to get the perfect curls and how to use a curling iron, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

They are called "fish hooks" and it just means you are not getting the iron all the way to the end of your hair. If you are getting it all the way to the end and you still have this problem, don't wrap your hair on the iron as tightly...

Always mention your hair type and texture, so you get the best advice.
It sounds like you have some damaged hair. If its dry and feels rough and can't hold when using curling iron, then your hair has lost its elastic properties.
First get a hair trim to get rid of the damaged ends. (get some conditioning treatments )
To get some defined curls: wash and towel dry your hair. Start by prepping the hair with hair Tonic or Prep.
Then use your barreled curling iron and start your work from the front of the hair towards the back. Hold it horizontally and wrap each curl away from your face.
Here is the important part: Slide each curl out of the curling iron and don't unwind the curl from the iron. It will hold nice and will last longer.
Let your curls cool completely, and finish with a classic hair spray. Shake your hair a few times to loosen the curls. Use your finger to help.
Keep condition your hair twice a week and keep smiling in front of mirror for your beautiful curls.
