Care of dry hair:
Do NOT EVER blow dry it or use any other types of heat to style it unless you are going to a special event of some kind. Even THEN only do this very cautiously.
Don't "process" it...dying, perming, etc.
ONLY shampoo once or twice a week....or if you've been doing something that gets your hair nasty.
DO use a Good Quality Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner.
I use "Aussie Mega Shampoo". It hydrates like crazy! Then I use a 'cocktail' of conditioners that I mix in my hand before applying. These consist of "Aussie 3 Min Miracle", the generic for Paul Mitchell's "The Detangler" and "Biolage Conditioner". I only apply the conditioner to my hair from the nape of my neck down (I can sit on my hair). I then leave some of it in when I rinse making sure that the rinse water leaving my hair is slightly milky looking.
I am 48 and started getting grey/white "strays" at the age of 13. I started covering the grey when I hit 40.

A natural way - twice a week rub olive or castor oil into your scalp at bedtime. Wear a plastic cap to avoid getting oil on your pillowcase while you sleep. Shampoo it out the next morning.
