What are some tips to keeping your hair healthy?

i am assuming your a woman of color, therefore you SHOULD NOT wash your hair daily. once a week is good. the shampoo you choose isn't as important as the conditioner you choose. i have noticed that if your shampoo and conditioner are the same "company" will get better results. also hot oil treatment once a month. also try a reconstructor if your hair is already damaged. make sure you keep your scalp moisturized in between washes. no perms sooner than necessary. stay away from things that stress the hair. like every day curling or everyday straightening. if you put gel on your hair do not comb it until it has been washed. after braids give your hair time to breathe before doing new ones. there are so many things and because you haven't stated your problem (if there is one) i don't really know what to tell you. good luck with healthy hair.

What are some tips to keeping your hair healthy?

wash it once a day with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner

i highly recommend victoria's secret very sexy shampoo and conditioner

it keeps your hair really soft, smooth and healthy looking overall

and helps if you've colored your hair

also try hair revitalizing oils :D

What are some tips to keeping your hair healthy?

a hot oil treatment with virgin olive oil. leave it in and wrap a hot/warm towel around your hair. leave it on for around 30 minutes.

olive oil, oat meal, and avocado are the best things you can put in your hair. :] also, don't overly condition your hair. too much hydration and protein can kill your hair as well.

Any tips on cutting mens hair?

i recently finished my nvq level 2 in barbering at college but still dont feel confident, any tips or help?

Any tips on cutting mens hair?

Don't cut too short.. They always cut shorter than I asked.. if you left too much on then you can fix it.. but once you cut it too short it's too late.. you can't glue it back on..

also when it gets close to the neck hair should gradually get shorter and fade..

Offer free hair cuts to your friends and neighbor.

Any tips on cutting mens hair?

I'm a hairdresser, so I really feel for you. It's a lot of pressure, knowing people are watching your results! I guess the best advice is to keep at it, keep practicing, as much as possible. The more you do haircuts, the more the diagrams and written directions (in the textbook) make sense. It will come together in your mind after awhile, and that's when your confidence begins building. Talk to experienced barbers and stylists. Most of them will show you small techniques if you just ask, which saves you learning time. Ask them questions. My mentor tells people to bend their chin to their chest before she cuts a section at the back. Why? I asked. It gives a slight undercut, which makes the hair neatly turned under. See? It would have taken me awhile to figure that out myself. Please keep faith in yourself! No one is born knowing everything. Give yourself time. Work with supportive mentors as much as possible. You'll do fine! Good luck!

Any curling iron tips to get my hair like this??

http://www.mymostwanted.com/gallery/data...

OR this?

http://www.jess-simpson.net/gallery/albu...

Any curling iron tips to get my hair like this??

1. Apple either moisturizing product or leave in conditioner to your hair. This is what will prevent frizz.

2. Add volumizing mousse. I suggest Kerastase Mousse Volumactive.

3. Blow-dry your hair (not straight, just relaxed)

4. Run a paddle brush through hair

5. Split hair into horizontal sections with clips (thin hair: 3, normal hair: 4, thicker hair: 5). Take the bottom section and let it hang loose. Clip up other sections.

6. Curl chunks of the bottom section with a 1.5 inch curling iron (Conair works well)... Continue with other sections, releasing them one at a time.

7. When done, spray with hairspray (NOT TOO MUCH!)

8. You can lightly tousle your hair if it is too "Shirley Temple".... BUT, do NOT run a brush or your fingers through it. "Squeeze" it a couple times if it is too crunchy or stiff.

please help me with some tips 4 first time sruchers and how EXACTLY im supposed 2 do it

thanks!!!

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

I %26lt;3 the results scrunching gives you. You get really pretty wet wavy curls. What I do is take my Garnier Fructis Curling mousse and my favorite Nexxus mousse and scrunch the hair at the side of my hair first because that is where most people will look. All you have to do is take a handful of mouse and startat the end and squeeze and go up and down. Then I flip my hair over and then like do the same thing. You should do this after you wash your hair because it works best and you can only do it when your hair is damp. Good Luck!!!

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

1. get curling/ scrunching mousse

2. make hair damp

3. apply mousse in hand

4. place hands on head and squeeze hands as if you were using a stress ball

5. repeat till whole head is curled

after putting yo hair in a ponytail

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

Towel dry hair very well. Next put in product like mousse or gel. Bend your head over and use drier on low (until you get the hang of scrunching)Use your hands to fist the hair up lifting the weight of your hair until mildly damp. (Fisting-Grabbing the hair and make a fist as you push your ends to the scalp.)

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

Use a curl enhancing mousse (I use Herbal Essences) %26amp; just scrunch it into your hair. Then blowdry with a diffuser %26amp; when I blowdry I use the diffuser to help scrunch %26amp; I get really good curls. I flip my hair over %26amp; kind of push up on the ends of my hair. I know it sounds stupid but it really works. Hope this helps!

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

I used to towel dry my hair, apply mousse, and then use a hair dryer with a diffuser on it. One hand used the dryer and the other hand just scrunched the hair. Drying upside down a bit helps with the under layers. If you want REALLY curly, whip up a couple egg whites and use that instead of mousse. It's just like a perm, and I have really fine, straight hair. It works.

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

Start by using a volumising shampoo because any other wil just weigh your hair down, then squeze your hair dry, because if you towel it then you will create frizz and split ends.

Next make sure your hair is damp but not dry-damp, dry enough to run a brush through it without it dripping.

Then get a tennis ball sized amount of curling mousse and squueze it into your hair as if you were grabbing something and squeezing it. When you squeeze, make sure you let the bottom ends of the hair fall into your hands. Keep applying the mousse every time you squeeze , and keep on doing it until your hair is dry-ish.

I have a q about scrunching my hair , can you give me some tips??

i got ur message and im glad to help ..... here are some steps

here is what u need

Mousse or gel (mousse works better), hairspray, hair dryer

steps

1. Wash and condition your hair.

2. Squeeze the excess water out. To scrunch it, you want it damp but not soaking wet or dripping.

3. Wrap your hair in a small towel. Do not rub your hair at all with the towel. What you can do is wring it within the towel if the ends are still dripping.

4. Comb your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can. Don't worry if it's not perfect.

5. Spray hairspray in your hair. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Putting it too close to your roots will cause it to look greasy and weighed down.

6. Turn your head upside down so that your hair is hanging down. This step is optional and some might prefer to skip it.

7. Put gel in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel.

8. Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray.

9. Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time. Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

warnings!!!

* Gel isn't ussually the best thing to use in your hair. If you put to much, it makes your hair look crunchy and wet. Try applying mousse then spraying your hair with a curl defining spray.

* Shaking your head upside down might make your hair look frizzy and pufffy. You should always try to avoid shaking your head upside down a lot.

* Don't put too much gel in your hair in one spot because once it dries, it will turn white and flaky.

* Don't even think about brushing your hair after you've scrunched it. You will look like you got electrocuted.

tips!!

* Fine/thin, naturally straight, or chemically-straightened hair may be resistant to scrunching. If this is the case, apply curl-defining mousse or gel to the hair and curl it using a barrel iron. Consult the Related wikiHows below for instructions.

* For best results, use shampoo, conditioner, and products (gel, mousse, hairspray, etc.) that specifically define curls.

* Take a shower at night. Then apply the mousse and spray. Go to sleep with your hair still slightly wet. When you wake up, your hair will be wavy. To perfect it, get your hair slightly wet all over. make sure you avoid getting your roots wet. Reaply mousse and spray and your done.

* If it only works from the middle of your hair down, put it in a regular ponytail.

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

i just cut my hair to my shoulders and dont have any ideas how i can style my hair. my hair was long before but im not used to this short hair can someone tell me what hairstyles would be cute?.......it has alot of layers in it

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

you could flip out the layers do nopt flip out bangs or clip it back or put in a head band

hope this helped

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

you could put your hair in a clip, and do a hilary duff thingy.

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

that depends on your personal style, and what kind of hair you have. curls have really been in lately, that and waves. I would try one of those 1" flat irons, by chi or a similar line to curl it or straighten it if you want. you would flip it out as well. make sure you get one with the slight curve on the edge so that you can curl as well as straighten.

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

i have a similar hair cut. i blow-dry it and curl the ends and pull my bangs back and kinda make a bump with my bangs...(kinda hard to explain) i hold my bangs with 2 crossed bobby pins... just play with bobby pins! i have been doing this for years! you can make many awsome styles with pins!

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

i have the same length of hair as you, each day i try something new so i dont damage my hair or anything like that but you could do some of these if you wanted too

pull it half way back and then leave some strands down around your ears and face and then curl them

while your hair is still pretty wet crunch your hair and then after words you a airasle can of hair spary to make it hard and slick

do a twisty dry it all the way and then get chop sticks and put in and then let some hair stands down and curl them

low pig tails

half tails

put it half way up and when you do use a clip to do so and its loose enough and then curl

blow dry it and then curl all of it and then take your fingers and lightly pull the curls a part

Any tips on how to do my hair ??

since ur hair is shoulderlength, u still have a lot u can do... like u can put it in a clip, bun, ponytail, half u half down..et cetera

u can also straighten it, make it wavy or curly, jyust goof around
