Can anyone give me tips on straighting my hair?

I had it professionally done and it looked great. So I bought a straightener but when I tryed it, it didn't work. I also bought smoothing gel and it didn't help.

get a really good straightener..i have poofy frizzy curly hair but i use a very nice straightener..its called maxi glide and i got it for 150 bucks...it works really well...my hair is always straight now..

I used to straighten my hair all the time. The best way to do it, is to buy a perm... Then instead of curling the hair and timing the set, just use a large comb to keep combing the hair straight during the timing period. Because the perms now are more gentle on hair, you will love the results!

Now, I have shorter hair %26amp; I just leave my natural curl in. I wash and let it dry %26amp; go.... I love my own curl now.

But I so much remember those days when I straightened my longer hair.
