I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

I'm talking like something to put in my hair (homemade concoction, maybe) that will make it really pretty and shiny and then a hairstyle (not put up) that I can do for long hair. Thanks!

I would do curls like Debra Messing has, those look beautiful on long hair, especially for a more formal occasion. Just wrap your hair around the barrel of a curling iron, hold, and release. A shine spray will help the sheen but only apply after lots of hair spray due to the weight it will add to your hair, it may make some of your curls fall. If you actually want glitter, but a can of spray on glitter, that will help your hair hold the curls AND make you nice and shiny!

Maybe you could start really early and leave yourself tons of time to fix it yourself the best you can....but my suggestion is to go to the salon and get a "blow out"....it is the best thing to do, trust me!

Do not wash it two days before wedding. The night before the wedding take a shower and when it is about half way dry put some mouse in your hair and roll your hair in tiny little buns all over your head (buns should be about the size of a golf ball) Take out buns in the morning and you will have some really nice curls.

If you are wearing something that covers the neck line, I suggest that you wear your hair down. Otherwise an updo is always the way to go. You might want to get a nice vibrant color applied to your hair, it doean't have to be permanent. Think more about your eyes and smile. these are your accented areas. they actually make the hair style. Earth tones usually make your features stand out more, and try to use a soft lip.
