I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

I AM BLACK AND MY HAIR STRAIGHTENERS ARE BROKEN CAN U PLZ HELP ME

I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

Hot oil treatments help, along with a deep leave-in conditioner. Next time you blowdry, use a big round barreled brush and a blowdryer with a nozzle and that should work.

I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

Try some braids or cornrows. I know they are classics but try them and they do look great!

Blonde hair toner help and i need some tips to go blonde from any professionals out there?

i got bored of the plain black and decided to start dying my hair again, ive dyed my hair myself for years. i bought a packet of loreal quick blue powered bleach and some 40 volume developer and i wanted to try to achieve dark blonde streaks on my black hairusing a cap. the streaks came out a nice med golden brown. i waited a couple of days and decided to lighten my whole base. i used loreal excellence hilift hilights in the ash blonde color and using a 30 vol developer. the thing is now my whole head is a med golden brown color with the hilights not that noticeable so i decided to restreak my hair using the quick blue bleach. it came out a dark maybe slightly orange blonde streaks with a med golden brown base. i heard that i could get a blue/violet base toner.would do i to get it a nice blonde color. what would you think the result of that be and also for my own knowledge i would like to know any good lighteners that could bring black hair to the yellow stage but still be gentle.

Blonde hair toner help and i need some tips to go blonde from any professionals out there?

You need professional help.

The condition of your hair is at stake and you are on the verge of having major breakage.

Go to Sally's Beauty %26amp; Barber Supply and purchase a bottle of Wella Regenal. Put it on your hair, cover it with a plastic cap (cheap hotel shower cap will suffice), wait 20 minutes and rinse well.

Regenal is the only product on the market that will normalize the PH level of your hair.

(Use it every time you color your hair and in place of a conditioner. Do this before proceeding with any more color applications.)

While you're at Sally's purchase a bottle of Wella White Lady (T-18) Toner. Mix according to directions (20 vol. only) and apply it to the orange areas.

Without seeing your hair, it is difficult to advise you correctly, but maybe this will help.

There is no "gentle " bleach.

Blonde hair toner help and i need some tips to go blonde from any professionals out there?

Oh boy, since your hair has been triple processed, I wouldn't recommend any more chemicals for a bit. I think you should try to find a color revive shampoo and conditioner to get rid of the brassiness. John Freida has a really good brand for Reds, Blondes and Brunettes..

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

well my hair is thick

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

If your hair is straight and cut shorter on top-this should be a piece of cake. Take some gel or wax or mud- rub some between your hands and apply to your DRY hair. Push hair back and pinch chunks of hair between fingers and pull up until you get the desired effect. You could use a comb to stand all hair up evenly, but finger styling gives it a messier look.

If your hair is a little long and you want it to spike out- use some gel on damp hair and blow dry using you fingers to pull hair up and away from head (put head upside down helps). Then use more gel, mud or wax to stand hair up. You may need to hold chunks of hair straight up and spray a shot of hairspray at the rootsand repeat thru the top. It will take some practice and figuring our what products work for your hair.

If your hair has some wave or curl-it's hard to get it to spike straight. Try blowdrying hair and brushing hair straight while blowdrying then try the above tips.

Good luck!

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

this may seem weird but you can use glue

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

use hair wax

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

try spritz, hairspray with alcohol, that will make it hard, and also a gel

What's a spick?

The spicks will stand up in the Barrio.

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

gel called hair glue...works great.

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

Hair gel with a stronger hold like a 9 should do it.

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

i "spike" my hair all the time....i get it damp then i put lots of gel in it, best to use something with a really great hold.

and then i run my fingers thru it the way i want it spiked, then blow dry it upwards until its completely dry (this may take a while but well worth it), and coat it with hairspray after your done.

it works for me and my hair is plenty thick

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

GEL

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

try some bed head products. they really work

I need tips on how to spick my hair where the spicks will stick up?

use LOREAL studioline gel. you get a comb and you should spike your hair up on the top/front of your head and spike your hair on the back/side down. spike diagonally, dont straight top/bottom. i hope you know what i'm talking about.

but i think you should first trim your hair. if you're going to the salon to trim, maybe you can also ask how to spike your hair if you still dont get my answer.

good luck on your hair.

It's "SPIKE!" not SPICK! u as$hole!!!! u know wat a spick is?? f*ck u!!

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

I'm talking like something to put in my hair (homemade concoction, maybe) that will make it really pretty and shiny and then a hairstyle (not put up) that I can do for long hair. Thanks!

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

I would do curls like Debra Messing has, those look beautiful on long hair, especially for a more formal occasion. Just wrap your hair around the barrel of a curling iron, hold, and release. A shine spray will help the sheen but only apply after lots of hair spray due to the weight it will add to your hair, it may make some of your curls fall. If you actually want glitter, but a can of spray on glitter, that will help your hair hold the curls AND make you nice and shiny!

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

Maybe you could start really early and leave yourself tons of time to fix it yourself the best you can....but my suggestion is to go to the salon and get a "blow out"....it is the best thing to do, trust me!

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

Do not wash it two days before wedding. The night before the wedding take a shower and when it is about half way dry put some mouse in your hair and roll your hair in tiny little buns all over your head (buns should be about the size of a golf ball) Take out buns in the morning and you will have some really nice curls.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I want my hair to look really great. Any tips?

If you are wearing something that covers the neck line, I suggest that you wear your hair down. Otherwise an updo is always the way to go. You might want to get a nice vibrant color applied to your hair, it doean't have to be permanent. Think more about your eyes and smile. these are your accented areas. they actually make the hair style. Earth tones usually make your features stand out more, and try to use a soft lip.

Plz tell me how to maintain a good hairs and what r the tips to have healthy hair?

Here's what I recently was told: When you get out of the shower, don't towel dry your hair. You can gently squeeze the water out, but never rub your hair with a towel. Hair is fragile when it's wet, especially if it's already damaged. Don't blow-dry (but I'm NEVER going to follow that piece of advice) but if you do, try to blow-dry in one direction (never going to do that either and get flat hair...but if it works for you it's good advice). When you shampoo, be gentle and don't rub the ends together vigorously. I was told to think if your hair as dry clean only rather than wash and tumble try. Use a good protein treatment once a week as a leave in overnight and rinse it out in the mornings. I have had great success with Aveda's. Also use a good shampoo, not the cheap ones from the grocery store. They will damage your hair. I rotate my shampoos between Aveda, Redken, and Sebastian and have much healthier hair. Don't ever color your own hair at home. If you want it done, then have it professionally done. It will still get damaged, but a lot less. Most damage to your hair comes from breakage due to the things mentioned above. If you keep the hair healthy by using good products and avoiding doing things to damage your hair, then a modest "tipping" of the ends every few months...not even a trim...should be enough to get rid of split ends and damaged tips, and stop the hair from breaking.

Plz tell me how to maintain a good hairs and what r the tips to have healthy hair?

apply coconut oil every day on Ur scalp , massage it very well till it will get absorbed in Ur scalp dont use alkaline shampoos and harsh conditioners, avoid dyes and colors or any kind of hear proses.

Styling tips for Curly Hair??????

I've been having troubles all my life finding a way to make my curls look good. I have puffy hair, thick and very curly. I've tried oils, gels, mousses, you name it, I've tried it. One day I asked a student of mine who has gorgeous curls, what she did. She told me she washed her hair with tresemme shampoo and conditioner, but that it really didn't matter, as long as it was a good shampoo and conditioner for curly or damaged hair. and that she towel dries it a little bit and puts on mousse and a bit of hair spray for curls. I, do not like mousse, I didn't use mousse. So what is working now for me is not washing it when I style it. At least I get it wet, put conditioner on, and comb it with the conditioner on. Then I rinse it, put on some coconut oil or leave in conditioner. While the hair is still kind of wet, we still like the way the curls are looking, this is when you should put some hairspray on. Don't put on a lot of it, just enough to lock the curls, cuz that is really the problem of curls, if they open up they are screwed. Then either let it air dry or use a low speed, mid heat hair dryier with infuser thingie on. Hope it works. It finally did for me. I'm using whatever leave in conditioner seems good enough and pantene hair spray for curls. Dont use the aerosol one, use the mist bottle

I have some natural curl; Suave makes a new curl-boosting cream (in a tube) that really helps bring it to life. I just finger style it, sometimes blow drying, sometimes not, and go - the tousled look seems to work for me!

Styling tips for Curly Hair??????

you are very fortunate! Wear it well!

Dont use a blow dryer without a difuser or you will have tons of frizz.and use lots of conditioner for softness, contrary to what some think!

Some of the best conditioner to use is those used for dreadlocks. Makes your hair much more manageable and soft. My hair is soft and straight and silky, but i have a daughter who has CURLY wavy fly away hair LOL

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

So here's the deal. A few days ago I cut my hair it was great and all in the salon when I cut it and I loved it. My hair is up to my shoulders at the moment and I want it to grow as fast as possible. I really want it long again I want it long again more than anything. I have been hearing to just wash your hair and blahblahblah... But I really need it long asap spring break is coming and yeah and I want it as long as possible and there is also senior prom that I am going to... Does anyone know if those shampoo's in the magazines work that claim that if you use it your hair will be superrrrrrrr long? Idk someone please help me =] I am really sad my long hair is gone and cutting it was a HUGE mistake =[ I am going to go cry now. PLEASE HELP. It would mean sooo much!

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

Eat foods with loads of vitamin a and e. Even take supplements. These vitamins supposedly help obtain healthier hair/skin and supply other benefits. Now, I don't directly know if it will make your hair grow faster, but it is worth a shot.

Now I am no doctor, but depending on your age, there are different limits to the levels of vitamins your body can handle. I've heard of doses of vitamin A for healthy females in the range of 2,333 IU to 8,000 IU (IU is a standard doseage unit, not sure how much that is, but doing some research on the internet can help).

Just don't over dose on vitamins, taking too many can actually be toxic to the body.

Try typing "vitamin a" and "vitamin e" on yahoo or google, to get some idea of what you should take. Avoid .com websites, they tend to give you more garbage than good. You could even try going to an eckerd or a GNC type store and talk to the associates, they may have some opinions on the types, and doses of vitamins you should take. Even talk to your doctor.

Now , those shampoos that you are talking about probably have some kind of stimulant drug/steroid (maybe like a rogaine type mixture) that increases growth rate. But I would be careful with those considering you are probably a young adult (guessing 18/19 yrs old). Vitamins are natural to the body, steroids are not.

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

get real hair extensions. they are pretty convincing. i would say that the super hair grow stuf definitely wont work, and to think what would happen if yo spilled it...doesnt bear thinking!

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

There is no secret to growing your hair fast, all the shampoos are a bunch of bs. It just takes TIme. You could try hair extensions

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

wash your hair every day or twice a week, and trim it every month

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

no use worrying about the past. you only have a limited time here on earth, so enjoy it and stop worrying so much about your hair. live a little...

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

You can always get hair extensions. And if all else fails you could use hair vitamins.

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

no shampoo is going to give you long hair go to the salon get extentions dont be sad your beauty is not in your hair

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

OK I'm like on the same problem as you. The other day my mom cut my hair and its WAY too short. It's up to the middle of my neck! anyway I also want mine to grow back as fast as possible. I heard that Vitamin C helps your hair grow faster. So drink orange juice alot and take vitamins. GOOD LUCK!

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

Good luck!!!!

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

I've heard that massaging your scalp improves the blood flow and helps hair to grow faster--if not it still feels good! Have fun with the short while you can, and don't worry, as the weather warms up your hair and nails grow faster, too.

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

theres no way you can make it grow faster...but you can use extensions

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

I have heard that taking vitimen(sp?) tablets help hair grow faster. :)

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

No shampoo will make your hair grow, but some are better than others in that they can help strengthen your hair to prevent breakage. I recommend the Garnier Fructese Long and Strong Products. But the best way to get healthy hair is from the inside out. Your hair needs vitamins, protein, and amino acids. If you have a health food store or vitamin store where you live, pay it a visit and tell the clerk you want some supplements to help your hair, skin and nails.

You can do extensions as others said, but be careful. They can be damaging. I would only get them if I was one of those people whose hair just won't grow past a certain length. Because you have had long healthy hair before, you can do it again, just be patient.

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

No, there is no product in the world that will make hair grow faster, other than human growth hormone. No I'm kidding! Hair growth is generally the same for everyone, though some with great genes, will be able to grow faster than others. But it's at the cellular level, and you just can't go there, unless you alter your DNA! All those ads are hype to make somebody else get rich! They're selling dreams, not reality! You'll have to go with the rate of your own hair growth as programmed from your genes. Or get a wig! Or hair extensions! There's no other trick that is going to do what God has given us the ability to do! Sorry! That's the facts! And does hair length really matter in the grand scheme of things? Are we going to change the world with the length of our hair? Just be the best you can be, and take it from there! Hollywood looks should only be aspired to if you're auditioning for American Idol! For a human being to turn themselves into a superficial product, looks figure big at the outset. But at the end of it all, if that great looking person, truly has no substance or talent, to go with the hair and the looks, it don't matter a fig, does it? Magazines are admirable to inspire all of us to look our best, but....let's not forget what's under the hair, you! And you truly, need not fret about length, color, cut, whatever. Just be the best YOU, meaning your heart and soul! And just work with the hair till it gets to where you want it to be. It is no one else's focus but your own! We're all too busy worrying about our own hair to bother about yours! Don't worry, people won't point fingers or disapprove! Or if they do, just let them take a flying leap! No one else's opinion is more important than your own anyway! Fashion mags turn too many women into sheep! That's my only gripe! We often forget the beauty within! Shag the hair worries! Don't worry, be happy with YOU!

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

Britney, is that you?

Sorry, sweetie, you're just gonna have to wait. If nothing else, ditch that cheap platinum blonde wig you got after you buzzed off all your hair and get something not so fake-looking. I'm sure you can afford it.

Good luck with rehab!

And if this isn't Britney, my apologies...

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

try with birth control pills... smash them and put them in your shampoo and conditioner...

Okay can you give me some tips on how to get my hair really long a.s.a.p.?

calm down!!! take a deep breath drink some water and relax!!! It's just hair it's gonna grow back. If you stress too much u might have other hair problems which u obviously wouldn't want. Okay so hair grows an inch every month i heard. I don't think u can quicken the process but if u r really that desperate... you can try massaging your hair with hair oil every other day, do a braid and go to bed. i am not sure but i heard that works. Drink lots of orange juice and eat fish. Try hair tonics. But I think the best way to go is hair extensions like almost everyone here suggested or just get a hair piece it's cheaper, there are some that really look natural. I was watching fashion T.V the other day and i saw that the models use hair pieces that they pin under a layer of hair, it looks hot. All Victoria secret models use them.

do cornrow twists in the front, secure with bobby pins, hold the rest of your hair up with a clawclip.

plus, this looks way cute with two toned hair or if your roots are darker than the rest of your hair.

I need some tips on how to wear my hair!?

Simple ponytail, or try one of my favourites:

Take small chunks and twist them until they twist back on themselves. Pin them in place leaving a tuft. You can either twist tightly and pin them all around your head for a punky look or draw them to the top and sides in a more elegant messy chignon effect. Experiment a bit and you'll see what i mean. I always get loads of compliments when i do it - my hair is about same length as yours so should work. Good luck :)

I need some tips on how to wear my hair!?

First of all i dont know who the hell gave you bangs when you have curly hair. but its gonna be okay...buy some hair clips to clip your bangs back. I like John Frieda products for curly hair. i worship anti frizz cream...put the product in your wet hair and dont touch it. let it dry naturally. dont brush it.

I need some tips on how to wear my hair!?

I sometimes pull it back in a ponytail and bobby pin my bangs back. Whenever I wear my hair back I bobby pin my bangs, it's so easy and looks good too. I would occasionally pull it back in two buns, which is cute and sleek, if your hair is long enough. Buy some bobby pins, they're cheep and easy.

I need some tips on how to wear my hair!?

Wear hats or use product.

I need some tips on how to wear my hair!?

ok...um try pinning back the bangs and then put up the rest in a ponytail. or use defrizzer when you get out of the shower. pantene defrizzer works woders. then put gel in. try loreal gel. its what i use and it works really well.

ive heard from my nextdoor neighbor (who has really curly dry hair) that she only washes it 2 or 3 times a week. it lets the natural oil from your scalp penetrate the hair.

Any tips for greasy hair?

I've tried everything. Please don't suggest I stop washing it so often as this has not worked. I have tried various shampoos, I don't put conditioner on the roots, and eat relatively well.

Any tips for greasy hair?

I get the very same problem and it is a real nuisance! I do wash it every day in the morning but at it's worst it can be greasy by bedtime!

I do find that when I get my hair coloured, this dries it out which can mean it's not so greasy for a couple of weeks or so. I wouldn't recommend using colour frequently to treat this problem though as it will ruin the condition of your hair.

Sometimes, if you are using shampoos that are particularly astringent on the hair and strip all of the oil from your scalp, you can find that after washing, your hair works overtime to replace the oils.

Sometimes you can find that leaving it for a few days without washing can calm down any irritation and over-production of oil slightly so that next time you wash it, it doesn't respond so vigorously in oil production. I know this is hard to do but you can keep handy some Dry Shampoo in your bag for these days.

The brand of Dry Shampoo I use is Batiste and I swear by it - I always keep it in my handbag just in case http://www.ciao.co.uk/Batiste_Dry_Shampo... It's much better than baby powder as it's a fine spray of rice powder and combs through your hair better and can also leave it smelling fresh - they've recently launched a lovely Tropical scented one!

You are right to only use conditioner in the ends of your hair - it might be worth seeing if you can get away with only conditioning every other time you wash your hair and when you do wash, only use a small amount of shampoo.

I also find that avoiding using a high number of products in your hair after washing for styling as this can make the hair heavy and oily.

One product I do find that works well is Pantene Clarifying Shampoo followed by a really light conditioner specifically for people with greasy hair. If that doesn't work then I'd recommend a really gentle shampoo, use a small amount and see how you go.

Style your hair once in the morning and try to avoid brushing or combing again during the day as this takes oil from your roots and drags it through the hair encouraging your scalp to produce more oil again.

Make sure that you wash your hair brushes/combs/and styling utensils regularly so oil, grease, or product doesn't build up and redeposit on your hair.

Try to avoid getting too hot or wearing hats that make your head warmer unless it's cold outside! Sweat can make your hair greasy too.

Finally, try not to touch your hair at all if you can during the day, our palms are ever so slightly oily and even this can contribute to build-up in the hair.

Fingers crossed some of this helps and good luck!

PS! Be careful of recommendations for using fairy liquid on your hair. Although as a quick fix this will remove the grease, your scalp will respond by producing more oil to replace it meaning you'll end up in a viscious circle.

Any tips for greasy hair?

baby powder at your hair roots.

Any tips for greasy hair?

Baby powder. I have the same problem. Just a little bit of baby powder and put it in your hair after you wash it. It should help capture a lot the grease. Just be careful not to use too much!

Any tips for greasy hair?

Tip #1:Wash it in cleansing shampoo.

If that dosn't work than put baby powder in it.

Any tips for greasy hair?

Try to avoid daily washing. The sebaceous glands are overstimulated, secreting more grease onto the hair. This creates a vicious circle where the more you wash is the greasier it becomes.

Another problem with regular washing is that although the roots are greasy the rest of your hair is stripped of oil and the ends become dry and brittle. Use a mild ph-balanced shampoo and wash hair without rubbing the scalp too much. Only apply conditioner to the mid and ends rather than at the roots.

Watch your diet. Oily and fatty foods can contribute to greasy skin and scalp. Best of all is to use those days when you're at home to give your hair a rest from daily washing. Try using a children's shampoo as these are often mild enough for greasy hair.

Any tips for greasy hair?

Try washing it more often!

Any tips for greasy hair?

I heard that sprinkling a little bit of talcum powder on the roots %26amp; brushing it through will absorb some of the grease. I tried it once but it didn't work too well as far as I remember.

Just wash your hair every day %26amp; try not to touch it throughout the day as that will make it greasier.

Any tips for greasy hair?

There are shampoos out there designed for greasy hair, try them. Also you can buy dry shampoo, which you spray on your hair to keep it fresh. A lot of top brands like charles worthington sell these now, and they also have scent in them, I think they might help your problem.

Any tips for greasy hair?

wash it more often- you take out the grease

Any tips for greasy hair?

conditioner adds to grease, shampoo removes it. lol youve been doing it all wrong. wash your hair more. shampoo is the one that washes your hair, conditioner just detangles it. and you should only put it on the lower part of your hair. your roots normally dont tangle. and if your hair is still greasy, try baby powder. it absorbs grease. but not too much!

Any tips for greasy hair?

I keep several types of shampoo and change each time i wash, also only condition end of hair!

Any tips for greasy hair?

Dont scrub your scalp as this encourages your glands to produce more oil, wash it gently with a shampoo for greasy hair and apply a small amount of conditioner to ends only. Dont run your fingers through your hair as this produces oils. Avoid rubbing your scalp for same reason. When hair is dry do you use any product on it for straightening/ curling etc? Serums are also oily and if you apply more then needed they will also make hair greasy.

Any tips for greasy hair?

Put alittle bit of Baby Powder at your roots but if you put to much it will look like dandruff.

Any tips on how to strainten your hair faster?

I have really Poofy hair and it takes me 3 hours to straiten it!!!

this isnt gonna work anymore! my dad wont let me get it chemically straitened either!! please help!!

Any tips on how to strainten your hair faster?

I have extremely thick hair, and i use a Hot Tools straightener and i get done in no time!

Good Luck!

(can i be best answer?) lol!

Any tips on how to strainten your hair faster?

shower at night, and i'll guarantee you your hair wont be super poofy. then just straighten it in the morning because its still a little damp, which is perfect for straightening !

Any tips on how to strainten your hair faster?

If you get a professional straightener (they usually are expensive, from $150-300!), the heat is really high, and it makes it easier to straighten and also quicker. So I'd say any straightener that can go up to a high amount of heat will help you get your hair straight as quick as possible!

Any tips on how to strainten your hair faster?

if you blow dry, blow dry your hair at a down angle, it'll blow it straight. don't yank your straightener through your hair, the slower you do it on each strand the more effective it'll be so you don't have to constantly go over with a straightener.

Hello! Well, for starters where do you live? Because, I'm in England and quite frankly Top Shop is perhaps the most awesome (and in price range) shop around so check it out if you have one of them...

If not pick up a fashion mag - doesn't have to be as classy as Vogue or Elle (or Teen of those - you didn't state your age, but either can be used 'cause they're great for fashion inspiration!) maybe Glamour or something (trying and failing to think of international mags other than that) and have a look at what's in this Autumn. Then, go out and see what you can find - but remember, what looks good on a size eight model in a mag does not as a rule suit you, so take a friend and experiment a bit!

For hair - again don't go for the actual trends because you may not have hair that works that way, instead go to any hairdressers - try and remember to ask for a senior stylist, they may be a few quid/dollars more but it's worth it - and ask their professional opinion, they tend to know what they're on about.

As for make up, go easy, start with black mascara and eyeliner and gradually build up to using different colour eyeliners, and hint of blusher and so on.

God... essay! Hope this helps :)

get it chemically straigtened, it will probably still have some wave to it but will be more manageable

frizz ease by john frieda, use the whole range (each product has a number from 1 to 5, use one selection from each of the numbers, e.g shampoo is numbered one, conditioner is numbered 2, smoothing lotion is numbered 3, serum is numbered 4, hair spray is numbered 5) you dont have to fork out fo the whole range, but you get better results the more of it you use. I use just the shampoo, conditioner and serum and my hair is much better. If I had the time and cash, I'd use more. It does work

My sister swears by kerastess (think thats how it is spelt!) she has very damaged and cracking up dry hair, it makes it soft I'll give it that, but it comes at a cost (from your wallet)

If you want to loose the curls, use GHD range and GHD straighteners, they are literally and simply the best. they o th job abd fast.

I have very curly long hair which are not so managable.can u give me some tips to manage my hair?

Well first...... you should all ways treat it every once in a while........let go wild on day.........give it its favorite drink (oils) the nest day.....And i always put conditioner in my hair (no water) and brush it through and leave it in a day ...Make sure you wash it out the next day......and you hair will return to pretty , bouncy curls

but if you are trying to get rid of the curls

i suggest a straightner with a gold plate because they get hottest.....NO DOUBT.....but be careful to do brun your self when you are doing the straightner apply (oils or grease) you hair will be straighter because the straightner gets hotter ......But if you get burns on your forhead or ears apply cocoa butter or vasline because scabs might occur........

some styles you can use for straigt hair are ....

Sloppy ponytail

half ponytail

spiral curls

barrel burls

And some styles for curly hair are....

half ponytails

ponytails

Updo

Down style

I HOPE THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOU HAIR !

I have very curly long hair which are not so managable.can u give me some tips to manage my hair?

Use a mild hair relaxer, or maybe a kids hair relaxer, not to make it straight, just so you have a little less volume and the curls have better definition (have it done by a professional).

And then, you use products that suit curly hair, just to maintain and hidrate.

I have very curly long hair which are not so managable.can u give me some tips to manage my hair?

For curly hair, these are the 5 top rules to keeping it managable:

1. Curly hair is dry hair. If you want it to look in good shape it has to be as conditioned as possible. A good moisturizer used daily is good. A treatment every week is great. Rubbing a really tiny amount of oil through your hair before styling everyday is my family's secret to keep hair strong and healthy.

2. Brushes are enemy #1: they create frizz! Only comb with rinse off conditioner in the shower and fingercomb whilst wet. If your hair goes wild by midday, just put a little water on it and it should bounce up again. Otherwise, keep a poneytail handy for emergencies.

3. Curls are easier to manage if the hair has bounce. Sometimes a good haircut (cut whilst wet, creating a few layers and making it a little shorter), while make hair oh-so-much-more manageable! Though it should never be too short to put into a poneytail. Talk to your hairdresser about it.

4. Depending on the texture you want, different products give different results. A lot of people will recommend anti-frizz serums such as John Frieda's. It is very good for getting rid of kinks but a good conditionner might do a better job. So to do the same, I usually prefer burt's bees avocato oil conditioner which is leave on and helps as a styling aid. Another that gives good results is soft hold gel. To use it, tip you head upside-down and scrunch upwards to "activate the curl". A last alternative good alternative is mousse. L'oreal and Garnier make good products, it's not as drying as people think and very easy to use. Just put a small amount in hand, run through top to tips in a scrunching motion. The first option I gave gives the lightest hold (ei. your hair might go wild halfway through the day) to the strongest (morning to night hold at the risk of being a bit stiff).

5. If it really is a mess, try blowdrying it straight. Use a round or paddle brush. Honestly, just try to keep hair as straight as possible and keep moving heat in order to avoid damaging the hair. Do one piece of hair at the time in whatever order feels more natural to you (though bottom to top is usually safest). One thing you must always remember though is rule #1. So steer clear from irons, as they damage the hair and make it harder to manage...

I had long impossible to manage curly hair. I've tried everything from blowdrying it straight every week to keeping it in a poneytail for years. I've also tried half of the stuff available at boots. A hairdresser friend recommended cutting it in layers (the shortes being shoulder lenght) and it made my life so much easier! In fact, I cut it again 6 months ago so that the longest layers are shoulder length and the shortest are up to my chin. My hair has never been more manageable. I now wear it down everyday (up doesnt look to good on me anyways). It's curly and pretty and I am happy with it. My routine is to shower in the morning (shampoo, condition/untangle), then tower dry with out messing with it too much (just press excess water out or use one of those quick dry towels). Rub a little oil between my hands. My gran uses olive oil, I leave it in the kitchen and go for kerastase's Oleo-relax (found at beauty salons and suppliers). Then if it's a rainy day I'll go for a little gel for extra help. Once a week I leave a treatement on for 30 mins.... In total, on an average day I spend 5 minutes on my hair...

Hope this helps :)

Who knows any tips on a good hair weave?

It all depends on how much you are trying to spend:

Moderately price brands are Sensationel, Milky Way, etc.

If you want it to look "real" get a lace front. That will cost anywhere from $300- $600

Tired of short hair.

You cannot do anything to make hair grow faster. All you can do is condition it well and keep it trimmed to get rid of split ends.

Use barrettes, gel and headbands in the meantime...experiment!

Sprinkle wheat germ on all your food, consume as much as possible of it. You can buy it at the grocery store. My mom swears by it, and her hair's down to her butt.

Don't style it. AT ALL! it still goes slowly but if you style it you are really just breaking your hair. Use a hair rejuvenating shampoo to ensure strength.

Any tips on how to make your hair grow faster?

hair grows near 6 inches a year... that's half and inch a month... if you keep your hair healthy you can increase this rate but not much... also try using a shampoo fulled with vitamins to stimulate your scalp... I use Mane n'tail... and I smashed prenatal vitamins into my shampoo and it accelerated the growth of my hair... but see your doctor and stylist for more specifc recommendations... also stay as far away from hair dryers and flat irons as you can... also avoid using chemicals in your hair

Okay, this is strange, but prenatal vitamins can make your hair grow faster. When I was preggers with my kids I was on prenatal vitamins and my hair and nails grew very fast (along with my crazy hormones) but they are known to work on non-preggers peoples too. And they're safe for anyone.

It sounds gross, but take fish oil pills. It's great to help your hair grow faster and healthier. Good for your nails too. At first when someone told me I was like EEEEWWWW and I still swallow them down as fast as I can. But damn does it work. Also get a little trim regularly when you're growing out your hair, it seems redundant but if you snip the dead ends your hair grows WAY faster. Mine is down to the top of my pants and I love it. I've never had really short hair. Go to a GNC for the fish oil capsules.

Once or twice a week, massage your scalp with olive oil. Use your finger tips to massage it gently all over in small circles. You can add a couple of drops of rosemary essential oil to the olive oil. It will come out with hot water and shampooing twice. After every time you shampoo, comb conditioner through your hair, then rinse.

Eat healthy food, including whole grains and veggies. Don't heat style your hair every day. Never use hairspray. Styling products like gel that have no alcohol are okay. Healthy hair should be trimmed once in three months. If it's damaged, you need to get it trimmed more often or it will break, but not more than once in six weeks to give it a chance to get longer.

Be patient. Sometimes short hair growing out looks awkward and is not the style you want, but getting it reshaped all the time results in it never growing very much. Use hats, scarves, hair clips, hair bands or whatever it takes to get through the transition.

Any tips on how to make your hair grow faster?

Scalp massages. It actually works. Something about massaging the follicles makes them grow faster. That's why the back of your hair always seems to grow faster, because every time you move your head, you're massaging the skin on the back of your neck and scalp. That's also why a hairstylist will angle your hair down from the back when you get a haircut, because it grows faster back there.

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

What type of gel should I use etc? any tips..

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

Don't use gel, there are sprays made to help protect your hair. Spray one section at a time and straighten it, and then do it all over again until you've done your whole head.

I tend to pin up the hair I've straighten and the hair I have left to do and leave a couple strands out at the same time. It makes it a little bit easier.

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

Don't use gel, use a spray that says 'use with straightener'.

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

i use it everyday but since your a gugy it might be different...just do your hair in small sections so that the hair will ocme out really staight and you wont have any wavy roots.

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

Ignore what they say, and do use a gel it is just a sufficent as spray, if u do decide to use a gel go for "straight X out" by bed head it works the best but then again for a spray i would use some sort of spray from "Sally" beauty stores thats called safe straight...hope i helped

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

you should use hairspray instead cause when using gel it can make your hair look really crusty and have some white spots

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

Paul Mitchel has a good leave in conditioning spray that protects against thermal damage. They are just so expensive. Get a good thermal protecting leave in conditioner. Use 1/2 inch to 1 inch sections and never hold the flat iron in one place too long. I flat iron the hair from front to back in a slightly foreword direction. Ask your hairdresser to show you or watch a hairdresser use the flat iron. When I walk by a salon and see something interesting i stop in and ask them to show me too. If they get pissed off that is their problem.

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

I use the chi and I have extremely curly puffy hair...to getth best results its all about the right products.

If you have fine hair I think you should just use the BioSIlk product made by Farroukh, that is designed to work w/ the Chi.

http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/72883/...

They sell it at most drug stores and beauty salons. It's in a clear bottle

However, it is quite pricey (approx 30 bucks for the big bottle) just for a hair product so if you want to use a cheaper version that works just as well I suggest Proclaims- Hair gloss (in the spray bottle). You can buy the latter from Sally Beauty Supply and its cheap. Don't use too much though or your hair will look greasy.

If you have course hair then I suggest using some pressing oil (I recommend Dundees -spelling?!) and using that w/ a little of either product I mentioned above.

Good Luck!

What are some tips for straitening your hair with a chi straitener?

i dont use gel or any kind of crap like that because later on it makes ur hair look really greasy all the time. but I do have a chi and use it all the time ! i love it! it works better than any regular ceramic straightener

Any tips on blow drying straight your hair?

the right brush?

do you blowdry from under?

any special tips?

Any tips on blow drying straight your hair?

A round brush is a must, but there are two basic types you can use... A nylon bristle brush, or a boar bristle brush. A nylon bristle brush will get your hair straight, but with much more volume at the roots and more flip at the ends. A boar bristle gives the hair more tension, closing the cuticle more--- give you a much more straight look from roots to ends. They also come in a variety of material, ceramic and/or tourmaline are the best.

Put in a small amount of heat protecting serum (i.e.: CHI Silk Infusion) from mid lengths to ends. Finger dry your hair about 60% (You can add a tiny bit more of the serum here also) and then begin using the round brush on 2-3 in. sections starting at the nape of your neck until each section is completely dry, working your way to the top of your head with about four different levels... And also, blow dry from ABOVE as it will force the cuticle of each hair downward... It is always good after you are done drying to run the dryer facing downwards on the cold shot over your hair, as it will lock in the style. It may take a little effort at first, but after a while will become second nature.

Any tips on blow drying straight your hair?

Buy a product that protects yuor hair from the heat, I like Fructis Sleek and Straight in small amounts. Believe me, a little goes a long way with those products. With a blow dryer, you can't get pin- straight hair, but you can get somewhat natural looking straight hair.

Tips for scrunching hair...?

i use moose and hairspray and a difusser.

is there something im missing? am i doing it wrong?

Tips for scrunching hair...?

The best product that I have found is Aussie Scrunch Spray. It is the best stuff and smells great! I usually scrunch my hair with the towel and then let it air dry for about fifteen minutes. Next, you spray the Aussie spray all over your hair. Then, you flip your head over and scrunch your hair with your hands. Do this until you can feel the spray sticking to the curls. Never brush or run your fingers through your hair. It causes the curls to seperate and become frizzy. This is just a tip that works great for my hair. But, remember not all hair types do the same things.

Tips for scrunching hair...?

It sounds like you are doing it right...try use the hairspray call Freeze It. It works really good!

Tips for scrunching hair...?

Don't use hairspray. It's filled with alcohol and it makes it frizz. Try a serum, like frizz ease and then try a gel and mousse.

Tips for scrunching hair...?

Try using Ausie Scrunch Spray instead of hairspray and remember to scrunch and dry upside down. Good luck. It took me years to perfect my scrunch!

Tips for scrunching hair...?

i usually put moose or hairspray in my hair after washing it at night while its still real damp. put your hair into little sections and twirl them around your finger. if you secure them with ponytails, they'll stay through the night and in the morning take them out and finish with a little hairspray. works for me :)

Tips for scrunching hair...?

MOOSE, SCRUNCH, GEL, SCRUNCH, HAIRSPRAY, BLOWDRY %26amp; SCRUNCH.... WORKS FOR ME!

Tips for scrunching hair...?

i have the same problem but really thin hair that doesnt scrunch. you seem to be doing it right.

Tips for scrunching hair...?

Try 'Surf hair', I think its from Bumble and Bumble, and is a gel. Just use a dallop. It works great!

I twist my partially dried hair into spirals. Then come up from the bottom with a diffuser, kind of scrunching it into the diffuser until its dry. Best when you tilt your head to the side and upside down.

The other key is to always use the diffuser from the start. I used to do a partial blow dry before adding the diffuser, it does not work as well.

No hairspray needed!!!

good luck!

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Using a regular iron is highly UNRECOMMENDED. Women used this method back in the 50's and 60's. Then they came out with straighteners. Then they realized that the technology used in standard straighteners isn't much different than an iron and can literally "fry" your hair. Results will equal dry hair with a head full of split ends which no treatment will be able to restore. You will just have to grow it out. Hope your hair grows fast..:) Ok, now that I've shed some light on what to expect from your idea, it's only fair that I suggest an alternative.

Get a ceramic straightener. You don't have to spend hundreds for one. You can even use a ceramic plated straightener sold at any drugstore or walmart ($20-30). The key is to use a moisturizing shine treatment right before and after straightening. I recommend BioSilk hair serum.

The curlier and thicker your hair, the thinner the straightener should be so it will allow you better and safer access to the roots, resulting in longer lasting straight hair.

Don't forget to add a dab of the serum everyday for added moisture and shine.

Hope this helps!

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Put a towel between the iron and your hair. Get someone else to do the ironing for you.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Don't do that, you will ruin your hair. Buy a hair straightner.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Wait til you're sober before you straighten.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

I would just go out and get a regular straightener-theyre only like $20-40 so you can jsut go out and get one from like walgreens

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

There was actually a segment on this on Rachel Ray this week, so there might be info on her web site. Basically, it was all about doing it in sections, using a roll brush underneath, %26amp; the way you hold your hair dryer. I hope that helps.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Gosh this brought me back to the day.I used to do it all the time when I was in high school like 10 yrs ago.Okay wet your hair and then towel dry it to damp and then comb.Get another towel now put the wet towel on the floor and lay your hair on top of it take the second towel and drape it from your forehead to the the bottom of your head thats resting on the floor. You use that towel as a guide of where the top of the iron should go and it also protects you from burning yourself at the same time....

Hope That Helps,

M.G

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Don't.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

I watched my older sister do this in the 60's, she used to do her bangs every day.

Spread your hair flat on an ironing board and cover it with a press cloth (a thin hand towel or a cloth napkin would work. Grab a section, and press it flat with an iron on a low heat setting.

Just go slow and take your time with the iron until you get used to using it so you don't burn yourself.

Maybe you could put a headband on across your forehead so if you did accidentally hit yourself, you would not get burned.

Be careful, good luck. Hope it comes out great for you!

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

hah, i do that a lot! flip your hair over (instead of leaning back) and place a towel on top of your hair unless you have it on a very low temp. and make sure you put some styling gel on your hair first to help protect your hair from damage.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

Take a long bath towel and fold it so it's thick. Then hold the towel on the inside of your hair so your hair flows over towel and then CAREFULLY run iron over hair since it would be supported with the towel. My cousin does it and it turns out PIN straight; even better than a regular flat iron.

Tips for straigtening hair with regular iron without burning myself?

If you can afford it, go with a good ceramic flat iron like a Chi. Apply Biosilk when your hair is damp, to protect it. I also use Redken's straightening serum, so that I don't have to use the iron as much. Chi makes a good protector called 44-Iron too. I have used the less expensive flat irons and they fried my hair. Since I have used the Chi my hair is much healthier.

Tips on de-curling products and TIPS on how to de-curl hair?

Ok, well with hair as curly as yours, you'll have to dry it first. Use a straightening/blow dry lotion, most pro products have one, but if you're shopping at the drug store Got2be has a good one called "crazy sleek". Then you're going to need to put a holding product in, like a mousse (gel is too heavy, hairspray is too sticky) and either put your hair in buns all over your head (6-10 is plenty, more buns for more waves), OR you could get some big velcro rollers (the width of the roller is how far apart the waves will be). Either way, 30 minutes should do the trick, using heat on them will help too and speed up the process. Good Luck and have fun!

For the hair, there is a vitamin supplement called Biotin. It will help promote healthy hair and nails, as well as making them grow faster and stronger. As far as skin goes, take a good mutli-vitamin. I've also included a link to the best vitamins and minerals for your skin. I take these on a daily basis and it really makes a difference! Make sure you drink lots of water also to stay well hydrated!

I've recently learned about all the benefits of honey, also! Make a mixture of honey and cinnamon powder and use it as a face mask for one hour. It will help keep moisture in your skin without making it oily, used it yesterday, and my skin feels great! (Plus it tastes really good!)
