Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

I have a curling iron and i can do the sides perfectly but i can't curl the back myself. Any tips?

Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

Use a curling brush (air). First use a 2nd mirror that you can stand on the counter so you can see the back of your hair. Once you get used to the routine, you won't have to look at it other than to touch it up. Good luck!

Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

its pretty immature.. but if you wet your hair.. and do lots of plaits .. you could end up with some pretty nice curls.

Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

My hair stylist showed me how to section my hair in the back (keep it in a clip and only pull down individual sections from the left to the right of the back of your head). If your hair is very thick then you'll have to section it off left to right, and also for the top layers and underneath layers of your hair. Also, remember to turn the curling iron in opposite ways for each curl. Basically, if you curl it all in the same direction it will be come one big wave in the back of your head. It takes practice but you can do it!

Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

1. Wash your hair! Towel dry, DO NOT BRUSH OUT.

2. Apply some mousse and scrunch your hair.

3. Let your hair dry naturally.

4. Use your curling irons spontaneously around your hair, there should be enough 'wave' to give the illusion of tousled curls!

I hope this helps! It works for me. Good Luck!

Any tips on curling your hair yourself?

Hopefully this will help you well my hair is naturally curly people tel me its cute but I usually straighten my hair.

Anyways when you curl your hair make sure your hair is wet so I would recommend you to wash your hair brush it and you should buy mousse any kind as long as its mousse then apply mousse all over your hair and scrunch it then put some hairspray and last try to blow dry it and you'll have it curly well thats all i do and it works for me and I hope it works for you to.

Any tips for over-processed hair?

my hair has been high-lighted a million times. its really dry.

Any tips for over-processed hair?

Hi there! I specialized in color for years in hotel salons on the Las Vegas Strip, and I can't tell you how often I ran into the same problem as you're describing! You'll want to get a good reconstructive conditioner (K-Pak by Joico is great!) You can either have treatments done at the salon (usually costing anywhere from $10. to $25. a pop) or you can get yourself a bottle of the reconstructor at most salons (it'll probably cost about $15. to $20. or so) and do the treatments yourself. The treatments are really simple to do at home, and you can do them more frequently, so I suggest this method.... Wash your hair %26amp; apply the reconstructor. Put a plastic shower cap on (you can buy them at any beauty supply) Get a towel wet and microwave it until it's pretty hot, and wrap it around your head. Let it sit for about a half an hour or so, the heat from the towel opens your hair's cuticle and lets the conditioner penetrate, and as it cools, it helps close the cuticle and lock the conditioner in. Also, NO HO TOIL TREATMENTS! Actually, contrary to popular belief, hot oil treatments are not good for your hair! To put it simply, your hair needs moisture, right? Moisture is water.... Oil and water don't mix! Hot oil treatments make your hair feel nice because they coat your hair with oil, making the cuticle feel smooth, while actually repelling the much needed moisture! It takes time to get it back in shape, but be patient and do these treatments 2 or 3 times a week and you'll notice a difference. Also, no more highlites for a while! If you need tips on what to do while you let your hair rest (and not go crazy with the dark regrowth) let me know! Take care and good luck!

Any tips for over-processed hair?

Any tips for over-processed hair?

use a special type of shampoo, or conditioner for dry hair

Any tips for over-processed hair?

Shave your head! Start over fresh. I think a woman with a shaven head is super sexy.

Any tips for over-processed hair?

First of all, leave it alone for a year. Use hot-oil treatments, and spend the money to get a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. You can also get treatments at the salon, I am not sure what they can do. But don't highlight for a long time, and try to lay off of the heat styling tools.

Any tips for over-processed hair?

u ned to use more of a conditioner than shampoo. use a deep treatment conditioner once a week. heres a home remedy. mix one egg,1tbsp honey,2 tbsp olive oil. put in on ur hair for 20 mins ..then rinse out then shampoo. results r worth it.

One good thing also is to get a reconstruction treatment and if you lay out at all or have a day to sit around put this in your hair put a cap over your hair and just let it sit all day. Especially if your are laying out in the sun the heat from the sun helps penetrate the conditioner. Redken makes a conditioner called All Soft this stuff makes your hair feel like silk. Get regular trims. And always let a professional do the color for you they know what's best for your hair and can also give you great advice! Good luck!

Hairstyle tips for thick wavy hair?

This is a picture of me, taken a week ago (don't ask about the blurry hair, I was messing around with retouch). If you can't tell, It's very dark brown, but has reddish highlights. I'm looking for something edgy and fun. It's my junior year, and I want to stand out. I'm pretty quiet in school, but I don't like it. Can anyone help?

Hairstyle tips for thick wavy hair?

Get some lighter highlights...or do something funky with dye. A blond patch of bangs would look really awesome. Also, let it grow out a little so that you can straighten it - only a bit - to give it a more..."flowy" look. If you want something to get rid of frizz, try some Garnier Fructise products. They're phenomenal. Oh, and mouse is always a must!! :D

Using mayonaise will make it shiny, soft and tangle free. Put in on your hair and let it rest for a few minutes then rinse and then wash your hair as you do regularly with shampoo and conditioner. Or you can use a hot oil treatment VO5 has one that works well.

Does anyone have tips to make my hair shiney?

You can look for shampoos and conditioners that enhance shine, also, there is some logic in the brushing a thousand strokes saying. You can also run cold water over your hair after shampooing and conditioning, right before you emerge from the shower. This causes the hair follicles to close and makes the hair shiny.

Does anyone have tips to make my hair shiney?

i like to use on silicone shine serum on DRY HAIR yes on dry hair but just a little bit and put it on your ends. Or you could do the same thing with olive oil. You could also use a hot oil in wet hair and rinse it out after 2-3 minutes. Or you can make your own hot oil.

Serum, Olive Oil, and hot Oils will make your hair very shiny and manageable, Just make sure not to use to much, or your hair could look greasy. For thick hair, you could also use a pomade. I suggest citre shine pomade. A cool shot on your blow drier could make your hair shiny or a rinse with cold water after you condition your hair for three seconds. Also, if you use alot of products, there could be build up on your hair, use a clarifying shampoo to get it out. To avoid build up, use only 1-2 styling products and avoid the scalp.

For light hair, you could add a couple of drop of lemon juice to your rinse water. For darker hair, add a couple of drops of apple cider to your hair.

You could also eat foods high in vitamin c because your hair needs vitamin c to be shiny.

I hope this helped!!!!

Does anyone have tips to make my hair shiney?

I forgot what I was going to suggest when I saw USMCStingray's avatar / pix- if citri shine works for him- I'm in.

btw- it does work

I also use a dab of olive oil in the shower and let it steam before I work it through and rinse.
