you should use lemon and vinegar

Are you trying to lighten it naturally? Because lightening it naturally doesn't work, what you should do it try to go to the drugstore and do a rinse with a color a few shades lighter than your natural color. It won't be as light, but it will help make it lighter.

CHAMOMILE!! not lemon...you can find chamomile shampoos and condiioners at any drug store or make some yourself but that really takes longer you should go for the shampoo its not expensive at all. by the way its not gonna happen over night it actually might take you a couple weeks depends on your hair color.

Cheap way is Ivory soap and peroxide. Expensive way go to the salon and let them bleach it.

household products do not lighten hair. if by some chance it does if will highly damage your hair and probably burn it off. please go to a salon and see a pro. this is what they do for a living. also dont use that sun-in they sell at walmart and drug stores. i can not tell you how many days i have spent fixing hair for teens that try to do this stuff themselves.

I put ketchup in my hair. It has vineager in it but it isn't as harsh on your hair.

Try the product called Sun-In it really works and can be found almost anywhere.

Lemon and sunlight do work; it just takes time. Imagine using lemon juice daily over the course of a summer. Your hair will be lighter, but you might not like the color! Mother nature can make your hair very brassy with lemon juice. It's smarter to try a conventional lightening product for highlights only (it's harder to screw up highlights at home). If you're looking to lighten your hair all over, I strongly recommend you see a professional. Lightening can be a nightmare if you do it at home with inexperienced hands.

Believe it or not, but to grow out your hair you must cut it every 3 months or so. This is to trim off the dead ends and keep it healthy. The longer you wait to cut it, the further up the damage will go, not just your ends.

If you're trying to grow it long, wear it in a ponytail more often. (when you sleep and during the day .. etc.) My hair is quite long, and i've found that keeping it in a ponytail really helps it grow faster, and prevents damage! .. if it's up it's not rubbing against clothing or being damaged as opposed to if I wear it down.

Also .. keep it well conditioned, yes .. but do not over-condition or over-shampoo .. it causes hair to become brittle and dry because overshampooing strips your hair of it's natural oils.

Hope that helped ;]

as long as you dont use a blow dryer too long and too much it wont ruin your hair. i have very flat hair and my cousin is the best at cutting and styling hair and when you blow dry your hair you blow dry under neath and it makes it look thick and full. you can use dove volume moose with it too it works really good. to grow out your hair i dont know what to do as much but im trying to grow mine too be cause it too short but some one told me to grow out your hair you got to get a fresh hair cut or a trim. dont cut your hair too short either (unless you look good that way) cause it looks nice wen u 1st get it but it gets really hard to style.

Any tips on lightening coloured hair? Box said reddish brown but end colour is more dark plum. Help!

it is best to go to a salon to have them correct the color, your hair could turn some weird colors if you try to do it yourself. If you want to try it yourself, I have been told to wash hair with dish detergent like Dawn to strip the color or try washing several times with regular shampoo. It is going to depend on how long ago you colored your hair

Any tips on lightening coloured hair? Box said reddish brown but end colour is more dark plum. Help!!?

Wait 3 days and color again using a natural brown ,for now wash your hair with dish soap and condition heavy with your conditioner do the same thing tomorrow. try to stay away from red because you apparently already have red in your natural hair color. or your last hair color had henna in it . It will look better by tonight i promise.

I turned my hair green twice before I got it right with the at home colors and now I never do anything but my usual Clairol color at home. Any other color I like and think I want to try I go to my hairdresser.

I've had the same problem and when it happened to me I used this stuff at my local drug store. Its called "color oops". Its ammonia free and bleach free so it doesn't harm your hair at all but it either takes you back to your natural color or (if you've dyed your hair as many times as I have) it will just lighten it a lot so u can redye it. It's inexpensive too, less than $10.00.

Any tips on lightening coloured hair? Box said reddish brown but end colour is more dark plum. Help!!?

i heard before that if u use green colored shampoo it can help with gettin the color out if u dont like the way it colored. ive never tried this but my friend said her teacher at Barbizan's told her this.

Any tips on lightening coloured hair? Box said reddish brown but end colour is more dark plum. Help!!?

Lightening colored hair should be left to a professional colorist with experience in corrective color. The artificial pigment in the hair needs to be lifted out before there can be a change in color. Hair color will NOT lighten haircolor!. When consulting a colorist ask them what steps the are going to take to ensure the integrity of your hair

keep washing it

I have fine naturally curly hair that is flat on top towards the scalp but always fluffs up at the ends. I want to reverse this with the least product possible. Anyone know of anything I can do? I am also looking for a good hairstyle for this type of hair(also wanting bangs). It comes just past my shoulders so im guessing its medium-long. Thank You!

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

everytime i take a shower, i towel dry it. when i take it out, i comb it, but i usually don't blow dry it. usually i take showers at night, and when i go to bed my hairs a little damp, but its mostly straight. but when i wake up, its really poofy. seriously, its horrible. i have to wake up early just so i have time to straighten it - which is usually about 45 minutes! how do i make my hair dry straighter?

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

Sounds like everyone HAS the same problem. Lucky for you, I USED TO have that problem...lol. I started using Matrix, Sleek Look. There is shampoo, conditioner, straightening balm and an oil for after styling for the fly away pieces. I have to wash my hair at night as well, because it is so thick it takes way too long to dry it in the morning. If your hair is really damaged you may still need to straighten it some. But if that;s the case there is no other alternative. The heat from the straightener kind of melts your ends together, when you wash it they come apart again. But if you have healthy hair these products should work great! I'm thankful I found them!

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

when you take a shower rinse your hair with cold water. then put anti frizz serum on it. make sure its COMPLETELY DRY before you go to sleep. if not then it WILL turn out complete bed head when u wake up. it should be okay if its dry before u sleep.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

Just use a different shampoo. I'd use the Sunsilk Anti-Poof shampoo! Trust me, there is NO shampoo that can beat Sunsilk! It really works! =)

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

This happens to me too when I take a shower at night before bed. I guess if you have time to straighten your hair in the morning you could take a shower in the morning instead. Or you could take a show well before bed. Try leaving your hair in a towel overnight or start blow drying it so that it is not wet.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

sleeping on damp hair is what's making your's so poofy. mine does exactly the same thing when i sleep on it. and i have straight *** hair. try letting it dry completely before going to bed.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

use a really good conditioner. don't rub your hair with your towel to dry. just wrap your hair up in the towel and then take the towel off after it starts to get dry. then immediately brush it out and apply a straightening serum. you might want to take a shower earlier and straighten it at night. that way when you wake up then you will be able to just run the iron through it a few times and in like 5 minutes you'll be ready to go. keep your house cool enough so that you won't sweat in your sleep. i've found sebastian laminates products to be the best they are worth the price.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

I have the same problem. I have to wash my hair in the mornings, then scrunch it until it is dry. It would probably save you time to shower in the morning, compared to the 45 minutes to straighten your hair.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

I have curly hair and I normally keep it from frizzing by not washing my hair everyday with shampoo. But I ALWAYS apply conditioner. During days you don't need to leave the house, I would recommend not washing your hair at all so your hair's natural oils can nourish your hair.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

i have the same problem...the best solution would be to not go to bed with your hair wet even if its only damp it makes a difference..but i don't know what your situation is so you probably don't have much of a choice...try using a little bit of baby oil on your hair while its damp before going to bed (not too much because then it might look greasy)..that's what works for me.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

Don't towel dry it let it dry itself. Or comb it out using a blowdryer to.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

you should blow dry it and straighten it at night, it will probably take less than 45 minutes to just do it at night. Then in the morning, turn your straightener on when you get up, then it will be really hot, so you can straighten it after you're almost completely ready to leave. Also, use some John Freida Secret Weapon after you straighten it at night, keeps the poof down. You can get it at the walmart.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

Don't comb it! My freind found out that if you comb it it looks realy frizzy and bad. BUt if you don't and let it dry natrually it looks pretty good. Oh and you should try straighting it in the morning. Oh and buy and antifrizzy product. Also if you straigh make sur to detangle your hair.

Any tips to make my hair less poofy after a shower?

Avoid blow drying. Either get a sraightener, or put it in a ponytail before bed.

Any tips on detoxing your hair?

Hair is dead, it doesn't need detoxing. If you want to remove build up, try rinsing with 1 part white vinegar, 4 parts water, or add 1 tsp baking soda to your shampoo.

Any tips on detoxing your hair?

Actually, in order to detox your hair, you need to detox your entire body. The hair is a snapshot of your entire system and the toxins, minerals, metals in it - better than a blood test because it can actually show a history, not just a single moment in time. That is the premise (gross oversimplification - but the idea) upon which hair analysis works.

You may want to do some reading on hair analysis tests, why and how they work. A good book was written by Andy Cutler about interpreting hair tests: "Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicites" He has a great website about metal toxicity - http://www.noamalgam.com
